A few words

A few words from mark... how cool is this

Fabien,

Thanks for the note. More importantly thanks for bringing an open mind
and the will to work hard at the seminar. From my perspective the
seminars are tough because there is so much to this and two ten-hour
days are only enough to scratch the surface and, as you said, provide
some tools. I'm confident you know how to use them and excited to see
how far you go - no matter what direction you decide to take.

Thank you also for being a good sport about the teasing regarding the
495# DL. I think you have a lot more in the tank right now and any
limit is psychological. But it's really hard to shatter a PR by so
much, and then go further - it takes time for the brain to adapt to
the what just happened and to remain open to go further. This is true
not just for the athlete but also for the trainer, meaning it's
difficult to know when to encourage the athlete to add more weight and
when to call it good for the day. Training one's brain to adapt
quickly to new conditions is beneficial on both sides of the barbell.

Take care,
